Day 2: VISIT OF LOME<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Lom\u00e9 is the capital and largest city of Togo, located on the Atlantic coast, at the far west of the country, near the border with Ghana. It is a major economic, political and cultural center.

The city is renowned for its beaches lined with coconut trees and fine sand, particularly those along the Gulf of Guinea, as well as for its countless bars where much of the population gathers every evening, especially on weekends, to relax before returning to work.

Lom\u00e9 is also a cultural crossroads where Togolese traditions and influences from other communities blend. The large central market, animated by the famous Nana Benz, houses the magnificent Sacred Heart Junior Cathedral and offers an immersion into local crafts, fresh produce and traditional fabrics.

Lom\u00e9 is also home to the largest fetish market in West Africa, a high place of the voodoo religion. Ouidah is a historic city located on the Atlantic coast of Benin, about 40 km west of Cotonou.

\u2022 The Temple of Pythons, major religious site of voodoo

Ouidah is an important spiritual center where the annual\u00a0International Voodoo Festival<\/strong>\u00a0takes place (2nd Friday of January).
